- Program 03
Research & Archive
We study migration, inequality, and belonging, preserving documents, oral histories, and community memories across Brasil and the United States.
Our research and collections serve communities, scholars, educators, students, and the wider public.
About the program
Research & Archive examines migration, belonging, and the histories of inequality and resistance connecting Brasil and the United States. Guided by anti-eugenic principles, we explore how people experience movement and exclusion, preserving memories that deepen understanding of both societies.
We are building an archive of documents, photographs, recordings, and oral histories, including the experiences of Brazilians in the United States. Collections will be organized by theme, place, and period, with attention to historical context, contributors’ consent, and the responsible use of personal materials.
Researchers, educators, students, and the public can contact us to discuss research interests, available materials, or potential contributions. By sharing stories, identifying sources, or collaborating on research, communities help shape the archive and how their histories are represented.
